Introduction

TreeThief is an application for inputting phylogenetic trees, with branch lengths, into the computer for use in programs like PAUP. The input method is essentially to draw the tree out by clicking on each node in turn. A scanned image of a tree can be loaded first to act as a template.

A manual is included in the package.

A couple of screen shots are given below

Version History:

Version 1.0 - First released version.

Requirements

This program requires a PowerMacintosh running MacOS 8 or later (it may run under System 7 but it hasn’t been tested). Quicktime must be installed. The amount of memory required depends upon the size of the graphical image to be loaded. If the image is greater than 1000 pixels by 700 then the amount of memory allocated to TreeThief may have to be increased.
